Transmission/Construction Linemen – Canada

Job Description

Construction, repair and maintenance of new and existing overhead transmission lines.

Assisting in the installation, building and refurbishment of overhead lines.

Fitting and connecting all LV/HV overhead equipment.

Stringing, sagging and terminating all conductor types.

Carrying out pole erection and stay installation.

Training apprentices and supervising non-trades personnel.

Responding to emergency conditions and environmental hazards.

Requirements:

Committed to safety – certification must accompany application

Ability to work within and contribute in a team environment

Recognised trade qualification

Demonstrated relevant work experience

Hold and maintain relevant statutory requirements

Excellent physical condition as role is physically demanding

Good English language skills, both written & verbal

Willingness to travel

Package

€100k – €130k / £85k – £110k

Basic hourly rate = CA$47 per hour

Working week = 40 hours

Overtime = 1.5 x basic rate

Weekends on approved projetcs = 2 x basic rate

2 year working visas supplied by client

Relocation package includes flights and all accommodation

Daily food allowance of $50

Flights home once a year paid

Medical and dental insurance paid
