Analytical Chemist - Pharma - Cheshire - UK
Our client is a lab services company working with pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device sectors.
The purpose of this job is to perform method development and validation activities of pharmaceutical raw materials, intermediates and drug substances and produce accurate results within an acceptable timeframe.
We are ideally seeking an Analyst with HPLC, GC, LC/MS and Karl Fischer experience.
The ideal candidate will have a proven history of being able to work accurately and both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Strong technical, problem solving skills, to be able to think logically and have the ability to effectively collaborate with and communicate scientific ideas to both internal and external partners is a requirement.

Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Allied Sciences or a related discipline is essential.
A sound, fundamental knowledge of Chemistry is essential.
At least 2- 3 years’ relevant experience of pharmaceutical analysis in a GMP laboratory.
Experience of HPLC for Assay testing and Karl Fisher water analysis is essential.
Experience with the use of HPLC, GC and LC/MS instrumentation is required.
Method Development and Method Validation experience is essential.
Titration and IC for counter ion and Appearance & Colour testing, experience in stability testing would also be very beneficial.
Thorough understanding of chromatographic techniques
Proven ability to troubleshoot issues relating to instrumentation and analysis as required.
Ability to quickly learn new processes.
Ability to work using fully electronic media, including MS Office.
Ability to communicate clearly and to form strong working relationships with colleagues.
Ability to work on own initiative and be capable of developing solutions to problems as part of a team.
Willing to operate in a flexible manner and be able to switch priorities at short notice.
Good team player, organised, accurate, have strong documentation skills.
Passionate about quality and customer service.
Good communication skills both internally and externally.
Good understanding of cGMP is required
