Assistant Buyer - Mechanical Contractor - Dublin

Job Description

Our client has recently won significant new projects and has ambitious growth plans.

The company has embarked on an exciting fast-paced journey that now demands the recruitment of talented individuals and is seeking to appoint an Assistant Buyer

to support the Procurement Manager in the Buying Function in the procurement of materials for projects and all associated administration.

Manage, support, and maintain preferred supplier relationships.

Other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Procurement Manager.

Promoting best value rather than lowest price.

Manage and resolve accounts queries as and when they arise.

Servicing allocated requisitions by undertaking and managing the procurement of materials for projects in line with procedures.

Drive mandatory compliance and optimise use of all Preferred Agreements to maximise rebate generation.

Requirements

Proven work experience as purchasing administrator

Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management

Strong negotiating skills and highly organised

Ability to gather and analyse data and to work with figures

Excellent written/verbal communication skills

Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel

themselves and others.

Strong Communicator, written and verbal.

Personable, and a team player.

Hard working and able to work in fast paced work environment.

Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.

Accountable, someone who take ownership of tasks from beginning to end.

Organised person who can self-prioritise work.

€30K-35K based on experience and qualifications
