Assistant Contracts Manager - Demolition Contractor - Limerick
Our client is a leading specialist contractor, certified to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 who undertake a wide portfolio of work ranging from demolition, hazardous materials removal to civil engineering and specialist plant hire contracts.
Contracts are carried out nationwide utilising a specialised and flexible workforce.
We currently have a requirement for an Assistant Contracts Manager.
The role will include all aspects of tendering and contract management.
The successful candidate must be capable of working on their own initiative or as part of a larger team and will report directly to the contracts manager.
Responsibilities will include:
Tendering for projects
Securing of work for the firms order books from existing and new clients
Project procurement including issuing tender packages, agreement of tender/specialist packages
Procurement of plant and materials for on-site contracts
Preparation of and issuing of interim and final accounts
Agreement of specialist contractor packages and their accounts
Monitoring of project costs and agreeing variations with Contracts Manager
Preparing monthly cost reports on contracts
Preparing, negotiating and agreeing final accounts
Assisting in the operation of the company’s integrated Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Management System
Providing assistance to on site management
Monitoring and reporting on progression of works on site
Programming and scheduling of works
Relevant Third Level qualification
5+ years’ of relevant experience
High level of proficiency in written and spoken English required
Excellent IT Skills including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
€50K- €70K negotiable based on experience and qualifications
Fulltime permanent staff role with a clear career progression path supported with ongoing assistance with CPD
