BIM Technician - Civil Engineering Consultancy - Ireland

Job Description

Our Client is one of Ireland’s leading and most experienced Civil & Structural engineering consultancies

This role can be based in Cork, Dublin, Galway or Limerick.

They require a BIM technician to join their busy Dublin office

The successful candidate will support the senior engineers and technicians in the preparation of design drawings and 3D models using Revit and CAD for a range of large scale civil / structural projects

Using cutting edge design techniques you will assist in the planning tendering and developing of construction documents

Work will be primarily office based, with potential for limited remote work.  

Under supervision you will assist in the preparation of high-quality engineering BIM models and design drawings for a broad range of structural engineering projects. 

You will assist in the preparation of planning, tender and construction documents.  

All work will be carried out in accordance with the company ISO procedures.

Requirements

Level 6 qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

3+ years post-graduate experience in a design office assisting in the preparation of drawings for outline and detailed designs for structural engineering projects.

An excellent working knowledge of REVIT.

Significant experience in working on BIM projects in accordance with PAS 1192-2:2016, BS 1192:2007 and BS 1192-4:2014 standards.

Draughting experience on building projects using concrete, steel, timber and masonry.

A thorough understanding of construction materials and construction methodology.

A good working knowledge of engineering draughting software including AutoCAD and CADS-RC.

Site experience gained in the inspection of on-site works.

Excellent communication skills

Own car required.
