Bid Manager - Dublin


Job Description

Our client is a leading Mechanical and Electrical engineering contractor working on large scale commerical, pharma/biotech and datacentre projects in Ireland and mainland Europe

The Bid Manager will have a strong writing focus, developing technical and business content for bids and proposals and also support the bid team with the bid pipeline by managing their own bids from start to finish. 

The role requires writing, reviewing and editing content, working with bid team members to produce written bid responses and presentation collateral in line with customer deadlines. 

The Bid Manager will be an integral part of the business strategy and development team directing growth. 

It also requires strong bid management skills when owning a bid lifecycle from start to finish.

Review and understand the bid approach and contribute to evolving it

Produce compelling bid material in line with the messaging to the customer

Discuss an approach to a bid or specific question with the management and produce the agreed response for review, uplift and sign off in areas such as value propositions, methodologies, delivery approaches etc.

Write effective, concise and compelling content while working towards multiple deadlines

Work as a team to get accurate, high quality information from all bid stakeholders in order to produce a comprehensive and cohesive bid is essential

Attention to detail and the ability to extract and summarise bid documents

Manage standalone bids (RFT’S/PQQ’s etc) of varying scales as required from start to finish, which will require excellent managerial skills

Design compelling visual content with graphics experience

A thought leader in terms of the bid process and bid material and continually look to evolve bid messaging and approaches.


Requirements

Relevant 3rd Level Qualification or equivalent work experience essential

Experience in end-to-end bid management required

Experience of technical and business writing essential within a professional bid environment (3 years+)

Experience of design work and design packages to create visually compelling bid content and submissions desirable

Background in writing for the Consultancy sector advantageous 

High attention to detail with an excellent writing ability

Deadline driven with effective time management skills

Ability to multitask and prioritise workload

Can demonstrate effective bid writing skills

Design skills and ability to create compelling bid contributions

Have an innovative approach – matching creativity with compliance

Project management methods/ knowledge desirable.


Package

€45k - €55k negotiable based on experience and qualifications
