Building Services Engineer - Dublin
Our client is a leading supplier of Heating & Plumbing products across it's national branch network to contractors and customers on residential and commercial build projects.
Their in-house technical design team provide full system designs for mechanical services with equipment & products specification.
Provide technical support to the business and end user and provide an efficient estimating/technical service to the Branch Network who sell a range of sustainable and low energy solutions for residential & commercial projects
Provide Technical and Design Support for customers and internal sales staff across a number of domestic, multi-dwelling and commercial projects and products
Heat loss calculations
Low energy equipment selection. Equipment includes smart internet based control, heat pumps, solar voltaic to under floor heating and other renewable systems.
Prepare and submit quotations and calculations to customers & branch managers.
Support the field sales staff in value engineering.
Liaise with and assist the Product Management Team by providing feedback on products supplied by the business to contractors
Update and manage technical library documents for equipment as well as project analysis for use in budget calculator tools
Ensure that the complete Group product range is offered to the customer, branch and field sales team i.e. ensure that all Brands are working together on Quotations.
Attend training sessions, both onsite and offsite, with suppliers and internal staff to maintain continuous professional development and increase knowledge base and skill sets.
Adherence to Health, Safety and Environmental rules and regulations
Be working towards or possess a Building Services Engineering or related engineering qualification
Have a minimum of 2 year’s relevant experience working in a similar role
Be proficient in AutoCAD or similar software package
Be a proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite and in particular Excel
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Hold a full valid driver’s license.
