Civil Technician - Multidisciplinary Engineering Consultancy - Galway

Job Description

Our client is a multidisciplinary engineering and environmental consultancy service. 

They provide delivery of professional services in the areas of Civil Engineering & Infrastructure, Water Services and Energy & Environment.

Preparation and review of preliminary designs and reports using a variety of computer packages and subsequent preparation of detailed design drawings and specifications.

Preparation of Preliminary and Contract Drawings using a range of packages such as AutoCAD 2D/3D, MX Roads and ArcGIS. Knowledge of AutoCad 2D and 3D will be a basic requirement and MX Roads/ArcGIS or equivalent would be significant advantage.

Undertaking topographical land surveys and site visits/surveys to develop designs for residential and commercial projects.

Coordination and liaison with Clients and Regulatory Agencies

Requirements:

Relevant Third Level Qualification

3 - 10 years experience in the area of building works but more preferably in roads design and contract administration of the associated construction stages.

Revit and AutoCAD essential experience within a large consultancy environment is preferable.

You will be versatile, a good team player, and committed to providing the highest level of service at all times.

Experience in developing structural designs and drawings from Feasibility stage to Detailed construction stage

Experience in co-ordination structural works with other design team members

Up to date knowledge of construction protocol

Must have excellent time management skills and be able to work under pressure when required to achieve deadlines

Strong interpersonal communication skills

Strong written and verbal (English) communication

Further experience in the use of RC Cads and structural detailing in Steel and Concrete structures will be an advantage

Package

€30k - €50k per annum dependent on experience
