Design Manager - Water Group - Galway
Our client has over 40 years experience in the Design & Build of Water & Infrastructure projects in Ireland & the UK.
MEICA and civil engineering management of projects within Clients Water Group, including design management and BIM implementation and management.
Reporting in the the General Manager, the Design Manager will be responsible for managing the design teams in a design-build-operate context.
Responsible for internal and external resource management, cost management, quality management and scheduling.
Liaison and coordination with construction management and operations management on design-build-operate projects.
Coordination and integration of MEICA with civil engineering design.
Development of document management, data management and communications.
Development of IFC-compliant parts and materials databases.
Development of BIM Execution Plans
Will lead BIM implementation and management.
Report preparation & feasibility studies.
You will be degree qualified or equivalent (i.e. Chartered Engineer or member of a professional body)
Ideally the successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years’ post graduate experience but less experience would also be considered for exceptional candidates
The candidate should preferably have experience in the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities.
Experience of design management, using BIM, in the pharmaceutical, oil & gas, food or related industries will also be considered.
Ability to prepare reports, conduct feasibility studies and communicate effectively.
Ability to work as part of a team and achieve tight deadlines
Attention to detail and ability to comply with Quality Assurance Management Systems is essential
A clean and valid Driving License
Proficient in Microsoft Project and also Microsoft Office packages such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Proficient in managing teams using Revit, BIM 360, preferably in a MEICA context.
€65 - 80K per annum, negotiable for the right person
