Engineering Contract Administrator - Transportation Group - Dublin
Our client is a leading multi-disciplined engineering consultancy with offices in Dublin. They provide a full spectrum of services including transportation & highway design, construction and program & cost management. They are looking for a Contract Administrator for their Transportation Consultancy group. The role involves the coordination and management of Task Orders and Projects undertaken by third party teams on behalf of the client, all of which have an impact the project.
A key function of the role involves liaising and working with the client’s project teams and all relevant Stakeholders during the development, construction and commissioning of upgrade schemes.
The key duties of the role will include, but will not be limited to
Liaising with the O+M Contractor and the client’s third party project teams throughout the development, construction and commissioning of the schemes
Facilitating site visits which may be required by the project teams and works
Producing a monthly summary report for the Client in an agreed format and content
To monitor a contractor’s execution of a portfolio of multidisciplinary upgrade and renewal schemes from Inception through to Handover.
Draft and / or review communications and correspondence to contractors.
Manage day to day operational duties;
Ensure internal procedures and processes are mapped, formalised and amended when necessary;
Demonstrate continuous efforts to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
Develop and deliver progress reports, analyse results and troubleshoot problem areas.
The successful candidate must have a numerate Level 8 qualification such as a Degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying or Project Management or other applicable discipline.
Experience and knowledge of delivery of multidisciplinary projects - civil/structural, mechanical, electrical, IT and ITS systems
Understanding of highway infrastructure and operation and maintenance activities.
Fluent in written and spoken English;
Well versed in modern procurement and contract management techniques
€30-€40 per hour
Contract position, min 12 months but likely to be extended
