Field Applications Engineer - Tooling - Pharma Packaging - Dublin
Our Client is a leading global independent producer of blister pack tooling and blister format parts within the Pharmaceutical Industry..
They are a rapidly growing company with a manufacturing base in Ireland and global clients.
The successful candidate will road-map and advise on designs for complex and high precision tooling, for some of the highest profile Pharma customers around the world, using the latest measuring technologies and working within one of the largest in-house design engineering teams in the country.
The Field Applications Engineer will lead the initial onsite project framing, while representing the company brand to our customers.
The role will involve frequent travel to customer sites globally - conducting the audit, assessment and measurement of machines and tooling and defining customer requirements.
Right First Time Quality
Measuring and scanning of customer tooling and blister machines onsite
Researching and collating necessary information
Identifying, when onsite, if agreed sales order will meet customer requirements
Preparing field checklists in advance of visit
Communicating accurate and complete design data, ensuring timely hand over to design team members
Continuous process improvement to drive onsite field efficiency
Analysing field findings to create template information, while ensuring no gaps in information exist before design begins
Technical review of completed tool sets within machine models as required
Supporting review of customer complaints if required, ensuring corrective actions are closed in timely manner
Developing FaroArm expertise, and training design team members
Writing of Standard Operating Procedures
Supporting Sales and Customer services teams with technical support
Providing commercial insights from field visits to develop the company business
Key Performance indicators:
Right First Time design dataset, with customer project assessment completed and communicated to necessary stakeholders, with regard to business deadlines
3rd level qualification in Mechanical Engineering, or similar related discipline, and/or extensive experience in modelling machine parts
Proven excellence and experience in metrology/Quality and measuring equipment – ideally FaroArm expertise
Proven systematic and logical approach for Right First Time design
Previous consultative engineer experience, including report writing
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
High flexibility for travel as central part of role- travel is predominantly within Mon- Fri every fortnight.
Confident communicator, being highly professional and enterprising
Enjoys the challenge of problem solving and collaborating in a team
Proven high levels of initiative and attention to detail are required
€30 - 35K per annum, dependent on experience
