Health & Safety Advisor - Prefabrication Steel Contractor - Laois

Job Description

Our clients are a recognised reinforcing steel supplier, specialising in Offsite Rebar Prefabrication and site installation to the Irish and UK construction market.

Lead the development and delivery of a best practice H&S function, identifying opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the Company and its operations to meet Company; customer and regulatory requirements 

Review and maintain all aspects of training, inspections and reports, incident investigation and leading internal and external audits; 

Requirements

3+ years’ experience in the manufacturing and construction industry is preferable, including a qualification in Occupational Health and Safety 

Able to manage Health & Safety function throughout the manufacturing site and customer sites within the scope of the management systems employed 

Strong relationship builder and ability to foster key relationships with stakeholders internally and external to the Company 

Ability to manage risk and implement control measures 

Able to lead and deliver H&S meetings; presentations and external audits including statutory inspections by H.S.A. / HSE / RSA; certification body audits; customer audits 

Engaging across the Company from the Directors to the shop floor to embed H&S best practice 

Report to the Directors and Senior Management on the performance of the H&S Management System and function 

Ensure that corrective and preventative actions are identified and implemented 

Driving continuous improvement and implementing initiatives to promote best practice at all times. 

Package

€45-60K negotiable based on experience and qualifications 

Fulltime permanent staff role
