Hybrid - Civil / Structural Design Engineer - Carlow 

Job Description

Our client is Ireland's leading precast concrete manufacturing company.

you will be required to oversee the delivery of a range of engineering design projects.

Determine and define the scope of work and deliverables for each project.

Aiding in the preparation of tender packages and proposals.

Prepare structural design calculations

Prepare general arrangement drawings, models and production drawings

Liaise with clients.

Occasionally attend to site.

Attend client and design team meetings, online and in person.

Ensure the successful delivery of the projects, within the timeframe and

agreed budget.

Work with a team to develop creative detailed design solutions.

Identifying opportunities for improvements.

Requirements:

7+ years of previous experience in a similar engineering role in Ireland.

Innovative and creative attitude to design.

Experience of project delivered in BIM/ Revit/Tekla.

Relevant qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Background in Engineering Consultancy is an advantage.

Fluent in technical English.

Strong design, technical and construction knowledge is essential for this role.

Ability to lead and mentor junior staff.

Strong communication and people management skills.

Comfortable reading and understanding drawings in the English language.

Chartered member of Engineers Ireland, or in the process of applying for

same. They can provide support for Charter applications.

Full clean driving.

Package

Hybrid Flexibility

40 - 55k salary - negotiable based on experience

excellent working packages

Some foreign travel may be required on an ad hoc basis.
