Junior Process Engineer - API - Cork

Job Description

Our Client is one of Ireland's leading EPCm consultancies and a global player in the Semiconductor, Pharma and Biotech sectors with offices in Cork and Dublin. 

They have a large number of Pharma projects in the pipeline and will be looking for process engineers to get involved in these projects.

You’ll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. 

Independently applies engineering techniques and analysis within the discipline

Work performed with minimal supervision; has considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.  

Implements modifies and maintains chemical processes

Calculates and organizes data for process flow sheets including instrumentation and control considerations:

Models processes and units operations

Ensures proper sequence of operation

Prepares specifications and operating instructions for processing equipment

Develops process flow diagram to define heat and material balance

Develops process specifications, e.g. distillation columns, pressure vessels, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and fired heaters

Participates in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects

Directs activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements

Requirements

Primary degree in Chemical Engineering

At least 3 years of experience working on pharma/biotech projects

Strong communication skills both verbal and written

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills  

Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas

Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base

Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams

Passion for Engineering and construction

Package

Contract rates of €40 - €50 per hour, depending on role

18 month contract minimum
