Planner / Scheduler - Infrastructure Projects - Dublin
Job Description
Our client is a multi-disciplined international engineering consultancy, currently undergoing rapid growth in Ireland
Supporting senior staff on a range of projects and taking initiative in doing so
Collating, analysing and interpreting a range of socio-economic, demographic, policy and related material
Writing reports, summarising analysis, findings and providing clear reasoned advice
Actively solving problems and developing innovative solutions
Attending meetings with clients / planning authorities and other stakeholders as a representative of company; liaising directly with other professionals pursuant to effective management and conduct of projects
Co-ordinating and managing projects including
Preparing and submitting planning applications and strategic infrastructure projects
Preparing planning appeals
Site appraisals
Planning policy reviews
Analysing and researching relating to Local Plan or policy preparation
Co-ordinating environmental impact assessment reports
Supporting tender preparation and other business development initiatives
Ensuring compliance with company QA procedures
If appropriate, providing supervision to more junior staff and assisting in their professional development.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a recognised qualification in Planning
Planners should have a minimum of 4 -6 years of experience
Membership of relevant professional organisation(s) including IPI and RTPI
Previous experience of liaising with clients and providing advice on planning matters
Good to strong working knowledge of planning, development and environmental issues
Capable of conducting independent research along with analysis and interpretation of results
Ability to prepare reports and formulate recommendations
Capable of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
Possess excellent written and oral communication skills including public presentation skills, planning and organisational skills.
Be highly self-motivated and ambitious
Have excellent analytical skills and be able to demonstrate initiative along with creative approaches to problem solving
Possess a keen eye for detail
Ability to present reasoned advice in formal and informal environments
Enthusiasm, thoroughness and hard work approach
Be enthusiastic about Planning and how we shape our urban and rural environment
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Capacity to work within a team and to build excellent working relationships with colleagues / clients and
Capable of planning workload on a weekly basis and occasionally that of others.
