Project Engineer - Civil Engineering Consultancy - Dublin

Job Description

Our client is an Irish owned engineering consultancy with offices throughout Ireland.

They continue to build and strengthen its planning and environmental services, engineering design and construction presence in the Irish market and specialise in the environment, energy, infrastructure and waste management sectors.

The Project Engineer will, amongst other things, be responsible for:

Acting as a member of the design team, helping to ensure projects are delivered to the timescales, quality and costs agreed with the client

Planning and managing CAD documentation of design work, working closely with Engineering Technicians

In conjunction with senior staff, attend onsite meetings with the client and other professionals

Complete engineering designs. Prepare technical reports and tender documents including bills of quantities and specifications

Ensure compliance with our Quality Assurance and Management Systems

Ensure compliance with the relevant health and safety legislation

Coordinating his/her work with other members of the project team

Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering

2 years post-graduate experience

Experience on infrastructure projects, including road and highway design and drainage network design

Working knowledge of road and drainage design software packages

Candidate should be a high-energy professional

A working knowledge of Public Works Contracts will benefit your application

Excellent communication, organisation and analytical skills required

Flexible and a good team player

Works efficiently and on own initiative

Must be prepared to travel to site visits and client meetings

Full drivers licence
