Project Engineer - Highways & Transportation - Remote - Dublin

Job Description

Our client is involved in a broad range of projects covering all aspects of Road & Transportation related activities for private and public clients.

Their growing team has successfully completed projects in Ireland, the UK, the Middle East and Asia.

Our client is looking for a Senior Project Engineer/Team Leader to work on Highways and Transportation Projects, including: -

Road Planning & Road Design;

Statutory Procedures;

Contract Document Preparation;

Traffic & Transport Assessments; and

Road Safety Engineering (Collision Analysis, Road Safety Audits and Inspections)

The position would be based in their Dublin office, with the ability to work remotely up to 3 days per week subject to project needs and team supervision requirements.

This is a senior role, reporting directly to a Project Director, with other responsibilities including team management, ensuring project delivery, managing project budgets & costs, staff development and business development.

Responsibilities

Lead & manage a team ensuring project delivery to programme and within budget;

Act as the main point of contact with Clients for projects; and

Manage all phases of projects, from inception to completion.

Requirements

Civil Engineering (Level 8 or 9) Degree;

4+ Years Experience in the design, management & implementation of roads/highways schemes or traffic assessment/analysis in the Commercial sector;

Chartered Status with appropriate Professional Body (e.g. Engineers Ireland);

Good report writing abilities;

Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Junctions 9.

Ideally

Chartered or in process of getting chartered with appropriate Professional Body (e.g. Engineers Ireland);

Experience in the management of Project Teams in a Consultancy environment;

Experience in mentoring & development of junior staff;

Excellent report writing abilities;

Fully conversant with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Junctions 9 and Transyt/Linsig;

Experience in the preparation of contract documentation in accordance with TII & GCCC;

Package

Salary €45k - €55k based experience, negotiable for the right candidates.
