Resident Engineer - Motorway Service Area - Kildare
Our clients are specialists in the Design and Project Management of commercial projects in the petroleum industry.
Due to on-going success and contract awards they have a requirement for a Civil/Structural Resident Engineer.
Scope of works include; earthworks, pavement installation, fuel station and building structures.
The main project is in Kilcullen with intermittent visits to the Gorey & Athlone Sites
As Civil / Structural Resident Engineer you will act as the client representative on projects throughout Leinster.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Supervise the Civil/Structural construction in compliance with the requirements of the local building and construction authorities.
To ensure that the construction works adhere to the requirement of the contracts with the Client.
Lead the construction site staff in the day-to-day supervision works.
Prepare monthly work progress reports, quarterly performance reports and other reports or information relevant to the project
Degree in Engineering (Civil / Structural) and Equivalent professional qualification (Or)
Hold a diploma in Construction Studies or Civil Engineering and have extensive industry experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience with preferably at least 3 years on site in the role of resident Civil / Structural Engineer.
Significant experience as a resident engineer on large / complex building projects.
Design & Build experience would be an advantage
The ideal candidate would be a member or associate member of a relevant professional institute.
Detailed working knowledge of building construction technology is essential and candidates should have a knowledge of mechanical and electrical services.
Proficiency in the use of MS office and Auto Cad would be an advantage.
Candidate must hold a clean driving license and have access to a suitable vehicle.
The candidate should hold appropriate safe pass and other relevant site safety qualification (managing safely in construction)
Salary €55K - €65K, negotiable for the right person
Contract duration: 18 months
Transport will be provided
A site allowance is applied above the base salary.
