Road Design Engineer - Remote - Kilkenny

Job Description

Our client provides engineering consultancy services in road design, road safety and transportation assessment

They work on the country’s most challenging projects to deliver Ireland’s infrastructure. 

The role will involve preliminary and detailed design services, input to EIA / CPO, preparation of contract documentation, administration of construction contracts and construction supervision.

Requirements

A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a consultancy environment.

Educated to degree level (level 8/9 engineering degree).

Chartered or close to achieving Chartership.

Computer literate and with experience of relevant design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MX etc).

Experience of relevant design standards including detailed knowledge of the DMRB / DMURS and the ability to translate this into workable designs.

Road drainage design

Road pavement assessment and design

Traffic (junction) modelling

Contract Documents

Knowledge of transport design codes and specifications.

Full driving licence.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Flexible approach with ability to be able to multi-task and prioritise when necessary.

Package

Salary 50k - €65k based experience, negotiable for the right candidates.

Benefits include a company pension plan & 25 days annual leave
