Senior Cost Manager - Infrastructure - Dublin

Job Description

Our Client are a consultancy specialising in programme management, project management, cost and commercial management on large scale infrastructure projects in Ireland.

They are currently supporting the commercial activities on large scale rail & airport projects 

The Senior Cost Manager activities include working with the client team to develop estimates, bench marking reports, cost planning, pre/post contract administration activities for clients, including;

Providing accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion in line with budget.

Pro-actively monitoring and managing cost variance and contract cash flow, and ensuring that applications are made correctly and in a timely manner.

Collaborating with client and contractor teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables

Managing contract change effectively, ensuring that projects remain within governance and adopt best practice.

Proactively providing sound commercial knowledge and support to all stakeholders.

Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.

Requirements

Chartered in a relevant discipline with a 15+ years relevant work experience

Experienced in both pre/post contract roles, cost planning, procurement, contract formation, post contract cost control, contract administration, value management / engineering, risk management and final accounts

Experience in large, civil engineering projects in the rail, water or aviation sectors

Working knowledge of the NEC form of Contract

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with team leadership/mentoring skills

Package

Competitive salary package €90-100K based on experience
