Job Description

Our Client is a leading Registered Consulting Engineering Practice specializing in Mechanical and Electrical Building Services Engineering

Based in our clients Limericks Building Engineering Group, ideal candidates will be looking to further their career and gain invaluable experience in Building Services within an established consultancy with a friendly office environment.  

The successful candidate will be involved in a diverse and challenging range of design projects including healthcare, technology, commercial, industrial and educational commissions

Design of Mechanical Services and Installations

Project Planning

Designing and reviewing design work of junior engineers

Compilation of Specifications for Mechanical Services and Installations

Ensuring full co-ordination between specifications and drawings

Estimating & Cost control.

Compiling project reports

Training and professional development of junior and intermediate engineers working as part of group.

Conceptual design studies and reports

Liaising with architects, clients and other stakeholders to set the constraints of the mechanical design and co-ordinate with all other disciplines in terms of the mechanical requirements and the mechanical discipline’s influence on all others.

Requirements 

Have a level 8 degree or equivalent in engineering with a very strong design engineering background, with 8+ years experience.

A Chartered Engineering status will be an advantage.

Experience in E-Tendering will be an advantage.

Must have experience working within client facing positions.

Be comfortable working on own initiative and under minimal management supervision.

Be motivated, ambitious, and enthusiastic.

Have experience delivering projects within healthcare, education, commercial and industrial sectors.

Possess excellent English communication skills - both spoken and written.

Have a full current drivers' licence and own car.

Have excellent organisational skills and be able to simultaneously manage multiple projects.

Have a sound knowledge of design guides, building regulations and various relevant BS, IS and EN Standards.

Lead several projects, liaise with clients, architects and contractors and mentor, train and develop junior engineers/technicians.

Design and specify mechanical and electrical services for various projects and monitor works on site.
