Senior Fire Engineer - Chartered - Dublin
Our client is a leading multi-disciplined Project Management, Engineering & Architectural consultancy with Fire Engineering Designs & Project Delivery consultancy services.
They are seeking to appoint a chartered fire consultant to join the senior management team with proven ability to lead and manager this division
The main focus of this Senior Management role will be to manager and coordinate all fire engineering projects without supervision
They will work closely with in-house engineers and architects.
Preparing and Lodging FSC and DAC applications to local authorities.
Responsible for developing and delivering effective innovative fire engineering solutions for various building types to meet quality standards.
Developing fire engineering solutions for various building types and at various stages
Demonstrate the ability to apply performance based fire engineering solutions and in particular the ability to develop structural fire engineered solutions
Carrying out risk assessments and audits of existing buildings
Preparation of relevant documentation such as presentations, reports, sketches, drawings, etc.
Clear ability to liaise with the design team, client, local approving authorities, contractors and other third parties as required
Short-term travel as required
Maintaining quality standards
Undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in fire engineering - must be chartered
Min 5+ years’ and candidates with 6-10 years experience working in a consultancy environment, project experience working on commercial, industrial, residential or educational projects an advantage
Knowledge of Irish Building regulations, part B first & part M access
Fire Safety Design
Fire Risk Assessments
Certification of Works
FSC & DAC Applications to Local Authorities
Experience in liaising with Local Authority Engineers
Design Team Meeting Experience.
Excellent report writing and communication skills
Good knowledge of fire engineering software packages
Experience of developing and delivering innovative fire engineering solutions for various building types
Short-term travel as required
Experience in negotiations with Local authorities and other key stakeholders
