Senior/Lead Ecologist - Ireland

Job Description

Our client is an Irish in a multi-disciplinary engineering & environmental consultancy with multiple offices in Ireland.

Our client are involved in medium to large scale environmental projects and we currently have an immediate need for a full time Senior Ecologist to work on renewable energy, infrastructure, coastal and other environmental projects.

Preparation of biodiversity chapters for EIAR

Preparation of Natura Impact Assessments

Project Management of environmental projects in diverse range of sectors

Preparing Submission Proposals

Client management and business development

Management and mentoring of junior team members

Consultation with regulators and statutory bodies

Stakeholder engagement and management

Experience of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) , Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA) and Appropriate Assessment (AA)

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years post qualification experience, ideally in an environmental consultancy and will hold a BSc and MSc in a Ecology or Science equivalent. 

Experience in ecological impact assessments is essential.

7-10 years experience, ideally within an environmental consultancy

Membership of a professional body, CIEEM or other appropriate body.

Ability to work well in teams, work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Excellent planning and organisation skills

Ability to meet strict deadlines

Strong technical report writing skills

Strong commercial awareness

Full driver’s licence

Package

Salary €50k - €65k based experience, negotiable for the right candidates.
