Our client is a global engineering consultancy leading the way in project management and integrated technical support services.

The Senior Planning Engineer is required to lead the construction-phase planning function across major industrial scope (CMV Project), managing schedules from design and procurement through to site execution.

They will lead planning teams, interface with subcontractors, drive Primavera P6 controls, and manage Earned Value Management (EVM) systems across the full project lifecycle. Lead and coordinate a team of planners managing construction-phase schedules in Primavera P6 and MS Project Manage subcontractor schedules, evaluating tender milestones, contract milestones, and Extension of Time (EOT) claims.

Establish, maintain, and run Earned Value Management (EVM) progress reporting systems across multidisciplinary packages.

Chair and facilitate Interactive Planning (IAP) workshops, Last Planner sessions, and site coordination meetings.

Read, interpret, and translate complex engineering deliverables, drawings, and sub-contract mobilization activities into detailed schedules.

Work in a multi-user Primavera P6 database environment, ensuring schedule integrity, critical path analysis, and baseline maintenance Interface closely with project controls, commercial management, estimating, and site construction execution teams.

Monitor design deliverables, procurement tracking, and site installation progress against baseline schedules.

Produce detailed progress reports, variance analyses, and delay mitigation strategies for project leadership.

Requirements

Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent discipline.

10+ years' experience as a Planner / Scheduler within heavy industrial, pharmaceutical, energy, or major engineering projects.

Proven experience leading a team of planners or acting as the lead planner on major construction capital works.

Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 (multi-user environment), MS Project, and Earned Value Management systems.

In-depth technical knowledge of engineering drawings, design deliverables, and sub-contractor interface management.

Practical experience with Last Planner System, Interactive Planning, and EOT claims analysis.

Superior communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
