Senior Resident Engineer - Roads - Leinster
Our client is a leading Irish multidisciplinary Engineering and Project Management Consultancy with operations nationwide.
They work on the country’s most challenging projects to deliver Ireland’s infrastructure.
Our client are currently recruiting for the role of Senior Resident Engineer to join their Roads team supervising contracts in the both the Donabate and Kilcullen/Athlone/Gorey areas.
It is expected that the appointments will commence in May 2018 with a likely duration of between 15 and 20 months.
The role of the Senior Resident Engineer will be to supervise the construction of the Roads and Bridges and Buildings.
The role is a senior position leading a team of other supervising engineers and inspectors.
The role includes for the administration of the contract in accordance with the particular requirements of the contract.
Hold an honours degree (Level 8 in the National Framework of Qualifications) in Engineering or equivalent professional qualification in engineering.
Have at least 10 years’ satisfactory experience of the supervision of Roads and Bridges and/or Buildings Projects.
Possess a high standard of technical training and experience.
Have excellent IT skills including proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency in AutoCAD.
Have familiarity and experience of the Public Works Contract and/or PPP Procurement Model; including the roles and duties of the respective parties, contractual obligations and timeframes.
Be familiar with the relevant Dispute Resolution Processes.
Have familiarity and experience of Project Management, Risk Management & Cost Management Procedures.
Have detailed experience of fulfilling duties required by the Safety Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations, 2013, including ensuring, on behalf of the Employer, that the duties of the PSCS, PSDP, Designer and Contractor are implemented across the project.
Have knowledge and experience of civil engineering materials quality control.
€65 - 75K, depending on experience
15 to 20 Month Fixed Term Contract
