Senior Traffic Engineer - Dublin

Job Description

Our client is a leading Irish Engineering Consultancy which works on large and prestigious projects throughout the Ireland and internationally.  

The project sectors include commercial, mixed use, residential, healthcare, education, retail and leisure.

Prepare detailed Traffic Impact Assessments for development projects ranging in size from 50 residential units up to schemes for 1,000+ residential units, mixed developments, offices, schools, retail, and other types of development.  

Ability to work with architects, planners and other professional team members to prepare Mobility Management Plans, Parking Rationales, Green Travel Plans etc t support planning applications.  

Providing advice to design teams at master plan and planning stage on road hierarchy, road safety, street furniture, DMURS etc. 

Will be required to work with civil engineering team to advise on junction improvements, capacity enhancements, public transport integration etc.  

This is a senior role with scope for strong career development for the right person.

Requirements

Minimum Level 8 degree in Civil Engineering or other transportation related degree 

4 – 10 yrs experience in traffic or transportation

Very strong communication, report writing and presentation skills required. 

Good knowledge of standard traffic modelling software is necessary.
