Senior Traffic - Transportation Engineer - Ireland

Job Description

Our client is an award-winning international engineering consultancy, currently undergoing rapid growth.

This role can be based in Cork or Dublin.

Transportation Engineer required to join a growing Transportation team in our Cork Office. 

The role will involve working with government agencies, private development progression, greenway concept and design, new roads, road and public realm improvements, road safety engineering and transportation modelling.

Flexible approach with ability to be able to multi-task and prioritise when necessary.

Management potential and ability to mentor junior staff

Requirements

Qualified engineer with a minimum of an honours degree in civil engineering (Level 8 in the National Framework of Qualifications) or equivalent

7+ Year's postgraduate experience in the civil engineering sector

A minimum of three years’ direct experience in design for transportation projects

Knowledge of Irish design standards e.g. TII Publications and DMURS

Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills

Excellent attention to detail and capacity to produce quality design outputs

Comfortable working in a busy work environment with tight deadlines

Aptitude for problem-solving

Flexible, motivated and focused

A desire to learn and develop

Fluent or highly proficient in spoken and written English

Membership of a recognised professional body in the engineering sector

Knowledge of 3D roads design software e.g. Openroads, MX and Civil 3D

Experience in preparing detailed works contract specifications

Package

Salary €55k - €65k negotiable based on experience

25 days holiday per annum
