Traffic Modeller - Ireland

Job Description

Our client is an award-winning international engineering consultancy, currently undergoing rapid growth.

This role can be based in Cork or Dublin.

The role will involve working in the planning and design of infrastructure projects. 

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

Participating in or leading strategic multi-modal modelling and/or highway modelling projects

Project and task involvement or management on modelling projects to include survey programmes, model development, calibration, validation, demand forecasting and economic appraisal

Checking outputs for compliance with quality requirements and industry best practice and motivate others to do so as well

Organise, train and mentor other modelling resources in order to ensure project delivery and staff/team development

Providing key inputs to the development of business cases and scheme assessments

Liaising with clients and other project stakeholders

Undertaking business development activities including proposal writing

Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering, Level 9 preferred.

Chartered or near chartered preferred.

5 years plus experience of transportation modelling with expertise in either Visum or Saturn software

Expertise in Geographic Information System (GIS), MAPINFO or ARC

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Flexible approach with ability to be able to multi-task and prioritise when necessary.

Positive outlook and approachable manner

Well motivated, able to work as part of a team or alone when required

Management potential and ability to mentor junior staff

Package

€40 - 55K depending on experience.
