Senior Process Specialist - Wastewater Treatment - Dublin

Job Description

Our client is Ireland's leading water and wastewater contractor.

They design, construct, operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment plants.

Our client is seeking to expand their Engineering team to co-ordinate and deliver capital works across Dublin and other plants.

This role will encompass the monitoring and managing of processes and process improvements across all sections of the wastewater treatment process: the water stream, the sludge handling, and thermal drying streams.

The ideal candidate would have an in-depth knowledge of all parts of wastewater treatment with a keen interest in process optimisation, data interpretation and management, and managing people.

This role will require interacting with all members of the operations team, contactors and stakeholders on a daily basis and will require the applicant to possess good communication and people skills.

This role also requires the applicant to be proficient in document and report writing, and presenting and conducting site tours.

The successful applicant will manage a team of sampling and odour technicians, conduct individual continuous improvement projects, and will be encouraged to undertaking training in all areas of Lean Six Sigma, 5S, Health & Safety, Process Safety, and managing people.

Requirements

A postgraduate qualification (MSc or PhD) in chemical engineering, environmental or microbiological science, or a related field is required.

Relevant industrial experience, with an emphasis on process safety, is preferable but not essential.

MUST be fluent in English

Package

Salary: €60k+

Performance based bonus of up to 12% of annual salary

23 days/year of Annual Leave plus all the Irish bank holidays including Good Friday

Access to our defined contribution pension scheme upon successful completion of a 6 month probationary period.
