Our client is Ireland's leading civil & structural engineering consultancy.

As an Associate – Structures, you will be working on the delivery of major structural projects, with responsibility for the technical, managerial and commercial aspects of your projects. You will be reporting to the Senior Management Team and providing leadership to your project teams.

Requirements

Honours degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.

Minimum of 10 years postgraduate experience in engineering consultancy.

Chartered Status with Engineers Ireland/IStructE.

An excellent track record in the delivery of projects to include design, people management, project costing, budgeting, contract documentation, programming, chairing meetings, project management, site monitoring for compliance, contributing to the handover of completed projects

An excellent understanding of engineering principles and a strong technical focus, ability to apply engineering principles and codes of practice to solve technical problems.

Excellent conceptual design abilities to provide robust and economical solutions in concrete, steel, timber, masonry etc.

Significant base of IT skills including structural design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, SCIA, TEDDS suite, CADS suite, STRAP, REVIT + AutoCAD skills.

Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project

Independent judgement in the application of engineering science and knowledge including complex design, construction and management.

Leadership skills to plan, manage and direct human, material and financial resources required to solve complex problems in multi-disciplinary teams.

High level of commercial understanding and application.
