Our client is a premier Irish main contractor delivering large-scale commercial, civil, and industrial projects nationwide.

The Bid Manager is required to lead and manage the end-to-end bid management process, with a heavy emphasis on navigating public procurement frameworks and the Irish eTenders portal.

They will coordinate multidisciplinary bid teams, drive submission strategy, and compile high-quality, compliant tender proposals to secure high-value public and private sector contracts.

Manage the full lifecycle of public and private sector tenders, including PQQs, SQQs, and ITTs, with primary focus on the Irish eTenders platform.

Coordinate and lead bid kickoff meetings, establishing clear submission schedules, key responsibilities, and deliverables.

Collate, write, and edit high-quality technical bid responses, ensuring full compliance with client requirements and evaluation criteria.

Review tender documentation in detail to identify key risks, submission requirements, and scoring weightings.

Work closely with estimating, commercial, design, and operations teams to gather technical input and develop winning win-themes.

Maintain and update the company’s bid library, past performance records, case studies, and compliance documentation.

Ensure all portal uploads and hard-copy submissions on eTenders are managed meticulously ahead of strict deadlines.

Track market procurement opportunities, public tender forecasts, and competitive intelligence across Irish procurement channels.

Participate in post-tender clarifications, interview preparations, and client presentations.

Requirements

5+ years' proven experience in a Bid Manager or Senior Bid Writer role within the Irish construction industry.

Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Marketing, or equivalent desirable.

Extensive, hands-on expertise with the Irish Public Procurement platform (eTenders) and public sector tendering procedures.

Deep understanding of construction procurement frameworks, public works contracts, and quality/technical tender scoring.

Superior written communication, formatting, and editing skills with high attention to detail.

Strong project management abilities to lead bid teams under tight, unyielding deadlines.
