Our Client is one of the world's largest and most diverse providers of professional technical services.
They have a requirement for a CQV LOTO coordiantor for a long term contract (min 12 months) pharma project based in Limerick.
The Lockout & Tagout (LOTO) Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, and governance of energy isolation activitiesacross pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities and projects.
Key Responsibilities
LOTO Program Management
Act as the single point of coordination for all LOTO activities within the designated area or project.
Ensure implementation and compliance with the site LOTO policy, procedures, and standards.
Review and maintain equipment‑specific LOTO procedures, including: Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Thermal, Chemical and process energy
Ensure all energy sources are identified, isolated, verified, and documented prior to work.
Support Commissioning, Qualification and Validation (CQV) activities involving:
Initial energisation and de‑energisation
Partial system handover
Live testing under controlled conditions
Complex boundary isolations
Coordinate safe de‑isolation and re‑energisation during commissioning and start‑up phases.
Interface closely with the Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) system to ensure LOTO requirements are clearly defined and implemented.
Coordinate isolations between:Construction, CQV, Operations, Maintenance, Vendors
Ensure LOTO status is clearly communicated during shift changes and handovers.
Verify correct installation and removal of: Personal locks, Group locks, Lock boxes, Tags and boundary identification
Conduct field audits and spot checks of LOTO execution.
Intervene and stop work if energy isolation is found to be ineffective or compromised.
Ensure contractors and vendors comply with site LOTO procedures.
Review contractor RAMS to confirm adequate energy control measures.
Coordinate multi‑party lockout scenarios involving multiple employers and disciplines.
Ensure personnel involved in LOTO are:Trained & Authorised
Competent for their role (Authorised, Affected, or Responsible Person)
Deliver or coordinate LOTO training and awareness sessions, including CQV‑specific use cases.
Maintain training and authorisation records in line with inspection expectations.
Support investigation of LOTO‑related incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
Implement corrective and preventive actions to strengthen the LOTO program.
Participate in audits and inspections related to energy isolation and personnel safety.
Approved LOTO procedures and isolation plans
Isolation registers and status tracking
Field verification and audit records
Training and authorisation records
LOTO‑related incident reports and corrective actions
Requirements
Min 5yrs experience in similar role
Technical qualification or trade background desirable
Formal LOTO or energy isolation training
Experience in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environments
Strong communication, coordination, and field leadership skills
Package
Long term contract role - min 12 months
€65-€70p/h depending on experience
