Civil Project Design Engineer - Energy + Utilities sector

Office Locations: Galway, Portlaoise

Pay: 55k - 65k

Our client provide multidiscipline engineering services for the energy industry. Providing a full range of design, construction and commissioning services and are active across many sectors including Renewables, Gas Networks, Water, Energy & Utilities, and Asset Management. 

The successful candidate will join an established team with senior support and will have the opportunity as their career progresses to acquire a broad range of skills and experience in design and project management.

·Design of projects from conceptual phase through to project completion e.g., energy projects including renewables, pipelines and installations (gas, oil, water or wastewater), industrial buildings & utilities.

·Statutory requirements for new developments such as planning, fire cert and DAC applications, IPC license requirements.

·Building Control compliance and design in accordance with building regulations.

·Design of new and modifications to existing gas and water installations.

·Design requirements for energy projects such as Solar, Hydro, CHP and Power Stations.

·Design of other energy infrastructure related projects.

Requirements:

Civil engineering degree (honours bachelor’s degree or higher)

5+ years post-graduate and relevant design experience.

Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Good academic record

Full clean driving license and own transport required

Fluent written and spoken English is essential

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team
