Our client is a multi-disciplined Utilities and Civil Engineering Contractor working with Local Authorities, Irish Water, Group Water Schemes, Local & County Councils.

Due to continued growth, newly awarded contracts and an extensive pipeline of work, our client are now hiring a Civil Project Manager to oversee the operations of Public Realm projects.

This is a full- time position covering civil projects in Tralee, Kerry.

Reporting to a Regional Contracts Manager, the Senior Project Manager / Delivery Operations Manager, will be overseeing civil projects based in Tralee,ensuring the work is completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality by effectively organising and managing the site activities.

To promote and ensure high standards of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures onsite

Manage and coordinate all site activities to meet project timelines and contractual requirements.

Oversee commercial and operational aspects of daily site activities.

Lead and support a multidisciplinary project team including planning, commercial & HSQE personnel.

Managing the project in line with works programme and ensuring the project stays within budget

Client and stakeholder management

Management of direct labour, plant resources & materials

Management of sub-contractors

Advising on commercial risks within the project

Identifying change and implementing change control process and agreement

Facilitate the compliance of as-built drawings/ sketches and the works safety file

Agreeing project objectives

Mentoring engineers and project team

Delivery of pre-site meetings to the site team

Ensuring site team compliance with Company policies and procedures

Ensuring that our business is conducted on site in the most professional manner possible in the interests of continued relationships with our important client base.

Ensuring an efficient construction site

Role is dynamic and not limited to the tasks listed.

Requirements

Qualified in construction management or related field.

Experience working as a Project Manager on Civil packages with contractors

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills 

Confident and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team 

Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines 

A client-focused approach with strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
