​Our client is one of Ireland's leading Building Contractors with an immediate requirement for a Assistant Project Manager to work on public realm civils packages.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer who is ready for their next career step into a Project Manager role.

You will play a key role in the on-site delivery of works, overseeing technical aspects, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and programme performance.

Maintain accurate site records, drawings, and documentation

Interpret and communicate plans, drawings, and specifications to the site team

Manage, monitor, and coordinate site works in accordance with contract documents

Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, architects, planners, and the wider project team

Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors and direct labour on a day-to-day basis

Plan site logistics and material deliveries to meet project timelines

Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and company policies

Conduct regular safety checks and maintain high standards of site safety

Manage quality assurance processes, including BCAR compliance

Resolve technical issues and site challenges in a timely and efficient manner

Drive the project forward in line with agreed milestones while ensuring quality and performance

Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline

5 years’ experience as a Senior Site Engineer with a Main Contractor 

Proficient in setting out using AutoCAD, Total Station, GPS, and surveying tools

Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently

Package

Salary €70K-€85K negotiable based on experience
