Our client is a leading provider of plant and services to the water, wastewater, environmental and industrial sectors. 

Job Description

Manage and deliver key water and wastewater infrastructure projects and oversee the full project lifecycle including design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover stages.

Manage and assist a team of Project Managers to successfully delivery multiple projects simultaneously.

Input to the development of preliminary designs.

Input to design drawings, technical reports and calculations.

Ensure thorough knowledge and understanding of the contract for all assigned projects.

Evaluation of Client Specifications as well as liaising with Client and Client Representatives.

Prepare the contract programmes from contract commencement through to handover. Track, monitor and adjust this programme throughout the project lifecycle.

Facilitate and co-ordinate the duties of the PSDP for live projects with all stakeholders and designers and represent the company as PSCS on live sites with all site safety standards and documentation in place and systems implemented on site.

Liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors to obtain quotations ensuring full specification compliance.

Prepare technical submissions and reports for Client approval.

Schedule resources and contractors to ensure the delivery schedule is met.

Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for upcoming works.

Implement the Project Quality Control procedures.

Financial tracking of projects and reporting.

Site liaison and with sub-contractors and Client Project & Resident Engineers.

Site liaison with directly employed tradespeople (fitters and electricians)

Site Supervision of works.

Manage and scheduling of crews and sub-contractors.

Site surveys and generation of works packages.

Recruit and mentor site teams as required.

Manage cashflow on projects including pricing of variations and interim payment applications.

Maintain and update the Site Safety Files ensuring full compliance with current HSA regulations.

Attend site for safety audits, project supervision.

Complete monthly reports for each project identifying revenue, costs, work in progress and accruals.

Provide single point of contact to the customer as the Contractors Representative for projects and instill confidence to the customer in your actions and ability to deliver projects for them successfully.

Ensure all drawings are updated for construction with vendor packages.

Document control for all aspects of the Contract.

The role will involve both office based work and frequent site visits. The office location is in Co. Carlow with site visits varying depending on the contract

Work closely with all parties to meet the business objectives.

Requirements

Minimum of 15 years Mechanical / Electrical Engineering experience which will have been in a Project Management role.

Knowledge and experience of the water and wastewater industry is preferred.

Knowledge and experience of plant design, construction and commissioning.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience of managing contractors and sub-contractors for the delivery of projects.

Strong technical, delivery and commercial skills.

Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and people management skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management systems.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Demonstrate a pro-active, practical & flexible approach to work. Work closely with all parties to meet the business objectives.

€80K - €95K negotiable based on qualifications and relevant experience
