Contracts Manager - Main Contractor - Nordics

Experience: 10+ years' construction experience, with at least 5 years as a Project Manager Visa: EU passport required

Our client is a leading main contractor specialising in Critical Environments such as Data Centres, Life Sciences, Aviation, High Value Manufacturing, and Critical Logistics across Ireland, the UK, and Northern Europe.

The Contracts Manager will bid, manage, and deliver multiple projects in a safe, successful, and profitable manner while developing relationships with a view to new and repeat business. Implement a strict Health & Safety culture on all projects under your remit.

Actively pursue new business opportunities and convert them to viable projects.

Manage the entire bid process, with assistance from the Commercial Manager, from lead generation to commencement on site.

Manage project teams to ensure key milestones are met whilst maintaining strict profit margins.

Oversee the commercial performance of your projects, ensuring they consistently meet margin objectives.

Manage client expectations and foster excellent relationships with design teams and external stakeholders, understanding that clients are at the forefront of everything the business does.

Work closely with the commercial team to proactively identify and manage commercial and contractual risks.

Work closely with Senior Leadership to drive innovation and business improvement projects.

Take the lead in generating a positive team ethic, promoting a culture of inclusivity and support, and ensuring your site teams do the same.

Requirements

10+ years’ construction experience, with at least 5 years’ proven experience acting as a Project Manager.

Third level qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is highly advantageous.

Strong ability to identify and develop new business opportunities with existing or new clients.

Ability to build, mentor, and retain strong teams to drive complex projects to completion.

Pro-active, self-starter, comfortable in dealing with difficult circumstances or ambiguity in a fast-paced environment. Strong relationship builder who can foster and manage productive relationships with all levels of stakeholders.

Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, BIM, Programming, and Planning software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
