Drainage Project Manager - DAA Projects

Pay: Rate €65 - €75 per hour DOE

Experience: 10+ years' experience in drainage and project management

Our client is a leading global engineering consultancy delivering major aviation, transport, and capital infrastructure projects across Ireland.

The Drainage Project Manager is required to lead and manage complex civil drainage and surface water infrastructure design packages for high-profile airport developments for Dublin Airport (DAA).

They will manage project delivery from feasibility and optioneering through detailed design, planning approvals, procurement, and construction support.

Oversee hydraulic modeling, surface water and foul drainage networks, attenuation, SuDS features, and environmental compliance for airport capital schemes.

Act as the primary point of contact for client teams (DAA), airport operations, local authorities, and statutory bodies.

Manage project scope, schedules, budget forecasting, and multi-disciplinary engineering design teams to ensure high-quality and timely project deliverables.

Coordinate civil and drainage packages with wider engineering disciplines including airfield paving, MEP, environmental, and structural teams.

Requirements

Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Level 8 NFQ minimum)

Chartered Engineer status (CEng MIEI / ICE) preferred

10+ years of post-graduate experience in civil drainage design and project management within a consultancy environment

Proven track record delivering major civil drainage infrastructure schemes; prior experience on airport/aviation or DAA capital projects is highly desirable

Proficiency with MicroDrainage, Causeway Flow, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and SuDS design guidelines

Strong commercial awareness, contract administration knowledge, and project leadership capabilities

Excellent stakeholder management, technical reporting, and communication skills

Package

Competitive hourly rate €65 - €75 per hour DOE

12-month rolling contract duration with strong potential for extension

Hybrid working model (office/home & site visits)

Laptop and IT equipment provided
