Engineering Manager - Water Projects

Our Client provide multidiscipline engineering services for the energy industry. They provide a full range of design, construction and commissioning services and are active across many sectors including Renewables, Gas Networks, Water, Energy & Utilities, and Asset Management. They are seeking an Engineering Manager to join their Water design team.
The Engineering Manager will have a client facing role. The responsibilities for the role are as follows:
Client Relationship Management and Business Development - Maintaining and growing the business by managing existing workloads and winning new projects.
Leading a team of engineers with responsibility for delivering projects, managing performance and developing competency.
Project lead for Design & Contract management from conceptual phase through to project completion across a range of water sector projects, typically including municipal water and wastewater pumping stations and treatment plants.
Leading the project engineering team for the development of preliminary and detailed design reports, calculations and drawings.
Collaborate and plan design work and deliverables together with wider process MEICA team
Ensuring all designs are completed in accordance with the relevant standards and specifications
Ensuring all designs comply with all applicable Health and Safety standards and regulations
Attending progress meetings with our Water design team, clients, contractors & supplier
Requirements:
Engineering degree (Level 8 or higher) in Mechanical, Process, or a similar discipline relevant to the specification above.
10+ years post-graduate and relevant design experience. CEng would be beneficial but not essential.
Experience in the Water Industry
Experience with relevant software packages such as SUMO, WAVE, AFT or equivalent.
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Problem Solver with a focus on continuous improvement
Full driving license and own transport required
Fluent written and spoken English is essential
Good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
