Environmental, Health & Safety Advisor - Main Contractor - Nordics

Office/Project Location: Nordics (Norway, Finland, Denmark)

Experience: 3+ years' experience on large-scale commercial/industrial construction projects

Our client is a leading construction company specialising in Critical Environments such as Data Centres, Life Sciences, Aviation, High Value Manufacturing, and Critical Logistics across Ireland, the UK, and Northern Europe.

The Environmental, Health & Safety Advisor is responsible for establishing, developing, and directing the implementation of the HS&E strategy on projects.

Ensure that a Positive Safety Culture is maintained and that the company is established as an industry leader in relation to Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance.

Implement EHS policies and provide expert guidance on all health and safety matters.

Assist in drafting, reviewing, and maintaining EHS documentation, policies, and procedures.

Conduct regular site inspections and audits, and prepare detailed reports.

Complete risk assessments and ensure all incidents, accidents, and near misses are thoroughly investigated.

Identify training needs and deliver engaging EHS training sessions to site teams.

Ensure subcontractor compliance with EHS standards and effectively manage stakeholder relationships.

Requirements

Third level qualification in EHS, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related discipline.

3+ years’ experience working as an EHS Advisor on large-scale commercial or construction projects.

Highly organised and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Conscientious, highly focused, and detail-orientated approach to safety management.

Self-starter with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Full clean driver’s license is preferable.
