Fire Engineer - Engineering Consultancy - Dublin

Our client is a leading engineering consultancy specialising in fire safety and risk management solutions for a diverse range of building projects.

As a Senior Fire Engineer, you will be responsible for the project management and delivery of fire safety solutions for various building types while working within a skilled team of engineers and with support from an associate director.

Prepare Fire Safety Certificate and Disability Access Certificate Applications for various building types.

Carry out Site Inspections to review elements relating to Part B and/or Part M of the Building Regulations.

Conduct Fire Risk Assessments of existing buildings.

Provide expert advice to clients in relation to their statutory requirements as well as design advice.

Prepare relevant documentation such as presentations, reports, detailed drawings, and specifications.

Liaise closely with the design team, clients, local approving authorities, contractors, and other third parties as required.

Maintain strict quality standards across all project deliverables and documentation.

Requirements

Educated to Degree level or higher in Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

5-7 years’ proven experience in Fire Engineering or Fire Consultancy.

Strong track record working on a range of projects, specifically in the preparation of Fire Safety Certificate Applications, on-site inspection and supervision, and carrying out Fire Risk Assessments.

Excellent awareness of current Irish building regulations and technical guidance documents, especially Parts B & M.

Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, and experience using Revit is a distinct advantage.

Knowledge of engineering software packages (e.g., CFD modelling) is beneficial.

Proactive approach to solving problems with an ability to adapt to changing project scenarios.

Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
