Our client is an Irish PQS firm.
You will manage commercial delivery across a diverse portfolio spanning high-density private developments (Residential/Commercial) and major public works (Healthcare, Infrastructure, and Civic Buildings).
Manage mid-to-large-scale projects independently from inception to final account.
Deliver accurate pre-contract cost plans, feasibility studies, and value engineering.
Administer RIAI contracts (private sector) and GCCC Public Works Contracts (public sector).Lead tender analysis, prepare comprehensive Bills of Quantities, and run procurement.
Manage post-contract variations, monthly valuations, and cost-reporting to clients.
You must demonstrate familiarity or direct project experience in one or more of the following areas:
Residential & Commercial: High-density housing, apartments, commercial offices, and fit-outs.
Healthcare: Hospital extensions, clinical refurbishments, or primary care centres (M&E heavy tracking).
Infrastructure & Civic: Public realm works, transport infrastructure, libraries, schools, and community buildings.
Requirements
Degree (Level 8) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
Roughly 5 years of post-graduate experience is preferred, ideally within an Irish Professional Quantity Surveying (PQS) consultancy practice.
Contracts: Practical working knowledge of Irish Public Works Contracts (CWMF/GCCC) and private sector forms (RIAI).
Software: Proficiency in modern digital measurement and estimating software (e.g., Cubit, CostX) and exposure to BIM workflows.
Professional Status: Chartership with the SCSI or RICS is highly desirable (mandatory for Senior level; supported for Junior/Intermediate).
Attributes: Exceptional communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a sharp eye for commercial detail.
