Junior Commercial Consultant - Infrastructure - Dublin

Office/Project Location: East Wall

Employment Type: Full time 12 month contract (strong possibility to extend)

Work Location: Hybrid (2-3 days on-site/client location given by client needs)

Pay: Contract €22 - €27 per hour

Experience: 5+ years' post-graduate experience with transport infrastructure projects (including 3+ years in O&M oversight)

Visa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa required

Our client is a global engineering and management consultancy providing technical, commercial, and contract administration services.

The Junior Commercial Consultant is required to support the Commission Manager across major operational infrastructure schemes.

Based in Dublin with a hybrid site presence (2-3 days per week remote), they will manage cost verifications, NEC4/PPP contract administration, site compliance audits, and commercial submissions.

Support budget and cost management services, including cost estimation using tendered rates, verifying payment requests, and drafting payment recommendations

Assist in evaluating contractor payment applications to ensure values are contractually due, deliver value for money, and maintain robust audit trails

Support contract management, administration, operational supervision, and contractor performance monitoring across NEC4 TSC and PPP contracts

Draft formal contractual correspondence, task orders, variation notices, and compensation event assessments

Conduct periodic site inspections, commercial audits, and compliance checks of operations, maintenance, and asset management processes

Assist with the commercial evaluation of contractor submissions, task orders, and compensation events

Review PPP design and design check certificates to ensure technical and commercial compliance

Collect and report on traffic data patterns, supporting compliance monitoring for EU Safety obligations.

Attend and participate in live and tabletop emergency exercises.

Requirements

Level 8 Degree (NFQ/QQI accredited) in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or Contract Management

5+ years' post-graduate experience working on major transport infrastructure projects

Minimum 3 years' post-graduate experience in the oversight, commercial monitoring, or administration of operations & maintenance (O&M) activities

Demonstrated working knowledge of NEC4 contracts (specifically Term Service Contracts) and PPP concession frameworks

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft formal contractual responses and report deliverables

Full clean driver's licence

Package

Hourly contract rate €22 - €27 per hour

12 month contract - strong possibility of extension
