MEP Operations Lead - Consultancy

Experience: 15+ years’ experience in building services / MEP consultancy in Irish/UK market

Our Client is looking to appoint a Head of MEP / Director of Building Services to take ownership of their MEP function across both Data Centres (DC) and Non-DC (schools, commercial, remediation) projects. This is a senior leadership role in a consultancy, strong experience in design and team leadership is a necessity. 

Role Overview

Dublin-based (hybrid – regular office presence required)

Leading MEP across all divisions (DC and Non-DC)

Managing senior engineers, associate directors, and project teams

Responsible for delivery standards, coordination, and performance

Working closely with CEO/COO on structure, hiring, and growth

Key Responsibilities:

Provide clear leadership across the MEP function

Own project delivery quality and coordination

Manage and structure teams across DC and Non-DC

Introduce governance, standards, and QA processes

Support client engagement at senior level 

Drive commercial awareness across projects (scope control, margin protection)

Build and develop the next layer of leadership within the team

Requirements:

Engineering degree (Level 8 or higher) in Mechanical engineering/Building Services Engineering/Electrical Engineering

15+ years’ experience in building services / MEP consultancy in Irish/UK market

Proven experience leading teams, not just projects

Strong background in complex projects (data centres, commercial, large-scale developments)

Comfortable managing both technical delivery and people

Package:

€120k – €140k base (depending on experience)

Pension + performance-related bonus
