Mechanical Estimator - HVAC Contractor - Kildare 

Office/Project Location: Kildare

Employment Type: Permanent

Work Location: Office Based with sites visits

Pay: €60K - 80K, depending on level of experience and negotiable for the right candidate.

Experience: 3+years

Visa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa required

Our client design / install and service portable freezer rooms for the food retail and pharma/biotech sectors.

To provide effective commercial and contractual support to operations on a number of major projects in accordance with procedures.

To prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.

To ensure timely submission and agreement of applications, cost plans, variation details, claims and other documentation.

To liaise with clients and Consultants from initial enquiries through to final accounts on the production and agreement of account details and securing final payment without undue penalty.

Liaising with suppliers and sub-contractors and internal team members pricing variations.

Cost Control/Management of Projects

Preparing measures and works packages for procurement and valuation purposes.

Negotiating and purchasing of Sub-Contractors and suppliers.

Closely monitor and process project variations.

Issuing tender queries and preparation of tender reports.

Reporting to management on the financial progression of projects.

Monitor project costs against budgets, identify problems/opportunities and recommend /implement change where necessary.

Requirements

3 + Years industry-relevant experience.

Tendering on a variety of large scale projects including commercial, pharma, DC, healthcare

Involved in full tender process from beginning to completion;

Liaising with relevant parties on an on-going basis

A relevant third level degree and/or a mechanical trade background;

Experience in a mechanical contracting environment essential;

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under strict deadlines essential;

Excellent communication and time management skills essential;

€60K - €80K dependant on relevant experience and qualifications
