Mechanical Quantity Surveyor - Consultancy - Dublin

Office/Project Location: Sandyford Dublin

Employment Type: Long term contract min 12 months

Work Location: Office based with some intermittent travel to client site.

Pay: €80-€90 Per Hour Rate

Experience: 8+ years

Visa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa required

Our Client is one of Ireland's leading EPCm consultancies with offices in Dublin and Cork. 

A Mechanical Quantity Surveyor with pre construction, estimating and tendering experience is required. This work will be conducted across an 8-12 month period with intermittent travel required to attend post tender clarification meetings with bidders. 

Following this tendering phase the candidate may be considered for a position in post contract administration should they be willing to travel to the project based in Europe.

Pre-Contract responsibilities would include but not be limited to: 

Preparing capital cost estimates

Assisting with tendering procedures and contract arrangements

Developing tender packages, including package assembly

Preparing pricing documents and/or Bills of Quantities (BoQs) for tender packages

Managing the tender process with key stakeholders

Reviewing and assessing tender submissions through to recommendation stage

Conducting tender clarifications and negotiations with bidders

Preparing tender evaluation reports and recommendations

Supporting contract agreement and finalisation

Ensuring compliance with procurement procedures and governance requirements

Liaising with design teams to ensure completeness of information for tender

Identifying and managing commercial risks during the tender process

Maintaining clear documentation and audit trails throughout the procurement process

Requirements

Quantity Surveying degree. 

8+years experience in the Construction Industry.  

Life Science Project experience 

Ability to work well within a team and to collaborate with others. 

Must be commercially aware, flexible 

Drive and determination to manage strict budgets to ensure the commercial success of the project. 

Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals. 

Package

Long term contract role in 12 months

€80-€90 Per Hour Rat
