Principal Electrical Engineer - Data Center Projects - Dublin or Cork

Our client is a leading Engineering Consultancy servicing clients in the date centre, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical devices and healthcare sectors.

Producing feasibility studies, outline design, detailed design and construction support.

Producing design drawings, electrical plant selection and specifications.

SME for the team.

Liaising with other disciplines.

Delivering a high calibre of technical quality, contributing to bids (TBA), interfacing with clients and collaborators in design and planning.

Delivering to agreed budgets and schedules.

Liaising with power utility companies and managing power supply upgrades

Requirements:

8 years plus as a principal engineer, covering the duties as listed above.

Candidates with chartership or in the process of attaining chartership will have a distinct advantage.

Excellent communication skills.

Must have a full Irish driving licence.

Candidates must be fluent in English and eligible to work in Ireland.

Be proficient in the following software, Dialux, Amtech (trimble) Etap, Eracs Cdegs etc. (and be in a position to provide training to others within the group).

Detailed electrical design experience (LV, MV,HV) in data center/building services environment. Design experience to include SLD (topology), coordination studies, electrical services design.

Sound knowledge of key Health and Safety issues and legislation.

Knowledge of MS Office applications word, excel etc.

Ability to prioritise own workload

Ability to work to deadlines

Managerial skills

Presentation skills

Background in consulting or construction preferred.

Good understanding of international working and business operations of a global consultancy.

Act in an ethical manner and follow the principles of the Ethics Charter and Ethics in Practice Guidelines of the Group
