Experience: 5+years , working with civils contractor on large scale energy projects such as synchrounous compensators compound set ups & mobilisation stages.

Our client is one of Ireland’s leading specialist Energy, Water and Wastewater Design, and Build Contractors.

They require an experienced Project Manager to work on an energy project - synchronous compensator - mobilisation package, based in Quarry LaneCo Sligo

To lead multidisciplinary teams—Site Agents, Engineers, Supervisors, and subcontractors—ensuring the safe, on-time, and high-quality delivery of complex civil works.

Champion Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental (HSQE) excellence across every phase of the project, in full compliance with Irish regulations and industry best practices.

Provide clear leadership and technical guidance to engineers, operatives, and subcontractors. Act as a mentor to junior staff and foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

Plan and manage civil works to meet programme milestones, ensuring alignment with strategic energy goals.

Oversee all aspects of project delivery—including budget control, resource management, design coordination, and contract administration.

Build strong relationships with clients, utility providers, and public stakeholders, acting as a trusted ambassador for the business.

Align procurement and delivery strategies with environmental objectives and long-term value creation.

Oversee licensing, permitting, and public works contract requirements with precision and attention to detail.

Report regularly on progress, share insights, and contribute to the company’s culture of learning and innovation.

Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering (or a related field). Equivalent experience will be considered.

Chartered or working towards chartership with Engineers Ireland (or similar professional body).

5+ years’ experience in a Project Manager role—ideally in energy, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure.

Deep knowledge of Irish construction regulations, public procurement frameworks, and energy-sector delivery models.

Proven leadership, communication, and team-building abilities.

A proactive, solutions-focused approach to project delivery.

Full working rights in Ireland and a full clean Irish/EU driver’s licence.
