Project Manager - Water / Wastewater Projects

Location : Dublin West

Employment Type: Permanent

Work Location: Office based / hybrid

Pay: €65k- €80k depending on experience

Our client is a leading Design & Build consultant in the Water & Wastewater Sector in the UK & Ireland. They are seeking experienced Project Managers to work on a number of UK and Ireland based projects with values ranging from £50m to £500m.

Past experience in water projects is not a requirement, and candidates from a mechanical or civil project engineering background are encouraged to apply.

The successful applicant will report to the Contracts Manager and will be responsible for managing the daily functions of the contract to prioritise safety and maximise efficiency & commercial success.

Promote and ensure high standards of Health, Safety and Quality on site.

Project planning and programming works.

Managing the project in line with programme & ensuring the project stays within budget.

Client and stakeholder management.

Management of Direct labour and Plant resources.

Management of Sub Contractors.

Management of Materials. 

Advising on commercial risks within the project  

Identifying change and implementing change control process and agreement.

Facilitate compiling the as-built drawings / sketches and safety file.

Requirements

At least 8 years’ Project Management experience in the Civil or Mechanical Engineering sectors

Experience in water treatment and pipeline projects, preferable but not essential  

A broad knowledge of Public Works contracts

Excellent leadership and communication skills

Good commercial and business acumen and IT literacy including use of microsoft project

Previous experience of AutoCAD, preferable but not essential  

A third level qualification in a construction related discipline

A clean Full Irish Driving Licence
