Pay: Salary €50,000 - €75,000, depending on experience

Experience: 4+ years' Quantity Surveying experience with a Main Contractor (Civil, Building, or Major Projects)

Our client is one of Europe's largest construction and engineering main contractors, renowned for delivering landmark building developments, vital infrastructure, and large-scale public and private works across Ireland and internationally.

A Project Quantity Surveyor is required to join their commercial division on-site for a major project based in Wexford.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, they will manage day-to-day project cost control, subcontractor procurement, contract administration, variations, and monthly financial reporting on a high-headcount construction site from execution through to final account close-out.

Lead day-to-day commercial and contractual activities on-site for a major infrastructure development in Wexford

Advise site management on contractual matters, managing notices, baseline records, and formal claims in line with contract terms

Identify revenue-maximization opportunities, drive cost reduction strategies, and perform detailed investigations into project variances/losses

Manage project cash flow, client interim payment applications, and milestone valuation submittals

Procure subcontractors and material suppliers, negotiating rates, package terms, and formal contract awards

Measure, price, negotiate, and agree scope variations with client representatives, PQS consultants, and subcontractors

Prepare, review, and maintain monthly cost reports, Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), risk registers, and variation trackers

Draft timely commercial correspondence, preserve contractual entitlements, and manage Extension of Time (EOT) tracking

Negotiate and settle subcontractor and supplier final accounts in a timely and structured manner

Requirements

Degree (Level 8) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related technical discipline

4+ years' post-graduate Quantity Surveying experience on medium to large-scale construction or civil engineering projects

Demonstrated ability to work on large-scale, high-headcount construction sites and manage major specialist supply chain packages

Solid understanding of standard Irish construction and engineering forms of contract (Public Works / CWMF, RIAI, or NEC)

Strong numerical, analytical, and contractual writing capabilities with excellent IT skills

Exceptional time management, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

Full clean driver's licence and willingness to be site-based in Wexford
